NOTE: Image Cafe appears to be working better this morning, and we will try to add a complete listing here. We realize people just want to know "How much?" Other than idle curiousity, the price is useless without knowing the features, options, and all of the special work that we did creating this OUTLAW BECK Speedster.
Simply put, without full details there is no real way to support the asking price.
Offered here without the 10 to 12 month wait in our build que, and thousands of dollars below the cost of a 2018 build of equal features.
OFFERED HERE AT $52,000.00 ONO
This 2016 BECK OUTLAW Version Speedster was built here in our Indiana facility. We manufacture our own 3" round DOM tubular chassis, .125" wall. The best platform in the industry offered for a Speedster replica.
Our lamination is all hand lay, not choppergun with a cloth backer slapped onto it and called handlay. Our lamination schedule is 1.5oz matt, 3oz. matt, and a 7oz. cloth backer all laid at once over grey primer gelcoat witha black backing. Excess resin is squeegeed off the part for a low resin content (resin shrinks, fiberglass does not). This provides the lightest, strongest body we can produce.
FLAT DAYTONA GREY PAINT
Not everyone likes this flat paint look, especially our paint Dept. as there is no buffing out of small dust or other little imperfections. No polishing it up after application. This has to be done correctly the first time. This is why Audi and others charge up to a $10K premium for this type of finish.
FEATURES AND OPTIONS
2.5 Liter Subaru EJ25 engine controlled by the Subaru ECU. Here is why this is far better than the, much easier to do, less expensive, Stand alone systems widely used elsewhere.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
The stock computer incrporates the OBDII diagnostic port, uses the electronic throttle, the Subaru learning and self-tuning features remain intact, as does the factory cold start and idle features. None of the aftermarket systems can do all of this, and most do not do any of it nearly as well as Subaru.
As for the cosmetics of the engine, it has had the valve covers, intake, alternator stand, etc. polished and powdercoated in Alien Blue Clearcoat and it looks really great.
Not all 2.5 liter Suraru motors are the same. Here is what we mean by that. Many companies use what are referred to as JDM engines (Japanese Domestic Market) that were removed from Subaru's in Japan and sold for Non - Highway use only. These engines, and the engine numbers, are known to the EPA, and are subject to this non-highway use ban.
Currently there are no actions of which we are aware against these engines, however, that is what the California Cobra owner's said about registering their replicas as 1964 Ford Cobra's, only to have, years later, their registrations cancelled by the state.
Caveat emptor. We use engines that conform to and are from the USA market only.
The transaxle is especially made for this powertrain configuration by Rancho Performance Transaxles, a leader in the industry. It has an all new gearset matched to the torque curve of the EJ25 engine. It costs over $5000.00.
The sound system is Out of Sight Audio, a bluetooth system connected to 2 Infinity 6 x 9's, and 2 additional 5 1/4" in the kick panels.
The leather is Spineybeck in a color called Cork. This is expensive stuff. There are 3 additional gauges in the center of the dash. 60mm clock, coolant temp, and oil pressure. Push button starter option. hidden 12V plug, aluminum pedal covers with dead pedal.
The wide 5 wheels have been powdercoated black, and the drum skins that hide the 4 wheel discs have been beed blasted to a matt finish.
